William Barbeau

HINCKLEY – William Barbeau, of Hinckley, passed away peacefully on July 23, 2024. William was born in Skowhegan, a son of Ecla Barter and Robert Barbeau.

Bill, or Billy as he was known to his immediate family, was amazing. He endured many moves through out his life, as well as multiple health issues but he never lost his wonderful laugh or his smile that lit up a room. The past few years of Bills life he attended the programs and activities of SKILLS, inc. as well as residing in one of their group homes. He was blessed to be loved and cared for by many.

His favorite past time was coloring. He loved to sit on the porch and watch the birds who came to visit his various feeders and color. If he wasn’t able to sit outside he was equally as happy to watch animal or monster truck shows on television, while continuously coloring.

Bill is predeceased by his parents Robert Barbeau and Ecla Barter as well as his sister Peggy J. Burns and brother Paul Barbeau.

He is survived by sister Jacquelyne Callahan and husband Gary, niece Julia Pesce and husband William, nephew John Burns and wife Paloma Celis Carbajal, nephew David Callahan, great nephew Nathan Callahan, many cousins as well as many friends at SKILLS, Inc.

A memorial mass will be held at St. Sebastion 161 Main St Madison on August 9, at 10 a.m., with a burial to follow at St. Sebastion cemetery on Father Rasle Road Madison.

Arrangements are under the care and direction of Giberson Funeral Home and Cremation Services. To leave a condolence for the family and to view the online obituary, please visit http://www.gibersonfuneralhome.com.
