The Lit Council and Goff Hill Rundown will both play starting at 8 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 16, at Mixers Nightclub & Lounge in Sabattus. Two of L/A’s newest party bands team up for a night of dancing, rocking and sing-alongs. The bands play songs by Men At Work, Dire Straits, Sheryl Crow, Prince, David Bowie, 2Pac, Sublime, The Barenaked Ladies, Pink Floyd, Talking Heads and other artists seldom heard by local bands. On Saturday, Aug. 17, The Shizzle takes the stage at Mixers for a themed dance/party band with costumes and DJ lighting. The Shizzle plays mostly hip-hop hits from the 80’s and 90’s. Live music with no pre-recorded tracks featuring songs by artists such as Eminem, The Sugar Hill Gang, Cypress Hill, Nicki Minaj, Salt n Pepa, Run DMC and more. Doors open at 6 p.m. There is no cover charge and plenty of free parking. Mixers is located at 136 Sabattus Rd., Sabattus.
