WATERVILLE — The Central Maine ATV Club hosted its ATV Glow Ride on Aug. 17, with approximately 300 machines and more than 1,000 participants.
The parade of brightly lit ATVs made its way through Waterville and the Fairfield trail system towards Norridgewock, looping back through Fairfield and parts of Oakland before finishing in Waterville.
The club joined forces with the Mid-Maine Chamber of Commerce to help organize and promote the ride. A marketing grant from the Kennebec Valley Tourism Council helped attract riders from throughout Maine and a variety of New England states, according to a news release from Mike Guarino, community engagement specialist at the chamber.
Proceeds from the event were split between the Central Maine ATV Club and the Fairfield Food Pantry, supporting their mission to provide essential services to local families in need.
