WINTHROP — CODA Chorus plans to hold rehearsals for its 57th season from 6:30-8:30 p.m. for 12 weeks starting on Sept. 10 at Winthrop United Methodist Church at 58 Main St. Registration starts at 5:30 p.m., and dues will cost $40.
The chorus is open to all, no auditions are necessary.
Music Director Christine Letcher, a UMA associate professor of music, leads the chorus in vocal training and choral music. This is her third year with the chorus.
The fall/winter season culminates with two seasonal concerts. For the first time, the chorus presents its concert at 7 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 5, at Johnson Hall Opera House, 280 Water St., Gardiner. The second concert is set for 4 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 7, at Hope Baptist Church, 726 Western Ave. Manchester.
The music includes seasonal favorites and new songs celebrating trees and the winter season.
