The much-anticipated season opener between Cony and Messalonskee football in Oakland was won by Rams, despite the Eagles scoring the final 21 points of the game.
Sophomore Anderson Noyes ran for 127 yards and two scores for the Rams, who will face Lawrence next week in a rematch of last year’s Class B North title game.
