For more than 10 years, WindowDressers volunteers have been making polyolefin-wrapped interior storm windows to keep residents of New England warmer, help them save on fuel costs, reduce greenhouse gas emissions, and build community by working together.
This year, Waterville and surrounding communities will combine forces with the Vassalboro-China area for a community build set for Tuesday-Sunday, Nov. 5-10, at the Children’s Discovery Museum, 7 Eustis Parkway in Waterville, but the deadline for ordering new inserts is fast approaching.
Assistance is available for anyone who would find paying the full costs a challenge; customers with limited income can receive up to 10 inserts for free or a reduced price, according to a news release from John Gardiner, a local coordinator.
Orders for inserts for the Waterville-Vassalboro-China build must be in by Monday, Sept 30. Visit windowdressers.org and fill out the inserts form. Those who order will be assigned to a build based on their residence.
For those who have a damaged insert bought in the past, it can be rewrapped at this year’s build for $15.
