John Larry Roy
SKOWHEGAN – John Larry Roy, 75, of Skowhegan, Maine, passed away peacefully on Sept. 9, 2024, surrounded by his loving family.
Born in Bingham on April 19, 1949, to Oscar Joseph Roy and Irene Mildred Bosse, John grew up excelling in basketball at Upper Kennebec Valley High School, where he was a local star. He had a lifelong passion for dogs, fishing, playing BINGO, and watching his favorite game shows. John also enjoyed growing cucumbers in his garden and was a familiar figure on the basketball court, whether playing or refereeing.
