Alex Bukasa, a dedicated music minister and gospel artist, will be among those performing at the First annual Christian Music Festival on Saturday, Sept. 21, at Field of Faith on Lodge Hill in Otisfield. The festival opens at noon and runs until 9 p.m. The festival is free and open to the public.

Featured artists, besides Bukasa, include Clayfoot, Ricki George, Juniper Worship, Keith Perry, The Samuels Collective, Marvelous Kingdom Music and The Gospel Friends.
Bukasa, who is originally from Congo Kinshasa, served as a worship leader there before coming to the United States in 2014. As a worship leader, he writes and sings songs in multiple languages. In 2023, he decided to record his first live album titled “My Offering,” which was released in June. Through his album he conveys an important message, reminding believers to give God their ‘yes’ and be His offering.
Besides live performances on the outdoor stage, area Christian vendors will have displays, and some nonprofit organizations representing missions will be in attendance, Field of Faith co-owners Ken and Jen Hawley said. The venue includes a stage, paved patio, fire pit, barn and expansive lawns and field.
No alcohol or smoking of any kind will be permitted. Coolers and bags are subject to search.
Reserved parking spaces are available for $25. Parking is limited to 125 vehicles, regardless of the number of occupants. A QR code is available to reserve parking or for more information.

We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
For those stories that we do enable discussion, our system may hold up comments pending the approval of a moderator for several reasons, including possible violation of our guidelines. As the Maine Trust’s digital team reviews these comments, we ask for patience.
Comments are managed by our staff during regular business hours Monday through Friday and limited hours on Saturday and Sunday. Comments held for moderation outside of those hours may take longer to approve.
