Voters in Maine’s House District 62 deserve a representative who respects the diversity of perspectives of her constituents, takes seriously the threat of climate change, and values the underappreciated work of teachers. Pam Swift fits that description.
Swift has served two terms on the Palermo Town Council, working passionately to find common ground with more conservative council members to benefit all residents. She has been endorsed by the AFL-CIO, SEIU, the Maine Education Association, and Planned Parenthood because her platform offers the greatest support to Mainers who most need it.
By contrast, incumbent Katrina Smith is campaigning on a platform of grievance and fearmongering. She has mischaracterized our states attempts to address climate change as “handouts” to renewable energy. She belittles teachers, accusing them of “indoctrinating” students with political “agendas.”
Smith’s voting record shows that she lacks the temperament for public service. Please help elect Pam Swift and restore considerate leadership to our district
