I am writing to endorse Judy Tunkle for state representative for District 53.

In the six years I have known Judy, I have been continuously impressed and inspired by her enthusiasm and passion for her work. I saw this firsthand while working with her on the Dresden Broadband Committee that will allow all the unserved parts of Lincoln County including Dresden to receive fiber optic service. Judy is also extremely civic minded and committed to social justice as shown in her goals, which include:

• reducing the tax burden;

• ensuring the affordability and accessibility of quality healthcare;

• expanding treatment options for persons struggling with substance use disorder and mental illness;

• supporting small businesses critical to our local economy.

Finally, Judy has pledged to work for and represent all voters in the district. I hope you will vote for her on Nov. 5.
