“Nothing has ever been achieved by the person who says, ‘It can’t be done'” — Eleanor Roosevelt
After retiring from a 25-year Air Force career, Laura came home to Vassalboro, reestablished herself as a good neighbor, small-business women, volunteer, and hopefully our next Vassalboro/Sidney state representative. Laura believes that resident engagement is important for a thriving community.
Laura created a “Community Matters” Facebook page, providing information about upcoming town issues, town documents and recorded meetings for those unable to attend in person. Laura helped to enhance online services for the Vassalboro Historical Society, worked with community members to evaluate long standing traffic safety issues, and uses her technological, organizational, and data analytical skills to better her family horticultural business.
Laura listens, utilizes her professional skills and comes up with solutions. She finds ways to get things done because “Community Matters.”
