WATERVILLE — Kelsie Dunn, Olivia Childs, Sadie Pierce and Kinsey Ulmer scored two goals apiece as the Erskine Academy girls soccer team defeated Waterville 9-3 on Thursday.

Ellie Giampetruzzi also scored for the Eagles (2-1), and Eryn Young made 14 saves in goal.

Maeve Wilcox scored twice for Waterville (2-3), and Madison Gervais had a goal and an assist. Piper Hamilton assisted twice, and keeper Lundyn Beaulieu made seven saves.

EDWARD LITTLE 1, SKOWHEGAN 1: The Red Eddies and River Hawks played to a draw in Skowhegan.

Allie Frey scored for Skowhegan (3-1-1), assisted by Lauryn Moore, and Natalie Cooke made 11 saves in goal.

Jenna Shea scored for Edward Little (1-2-1), and goalie Lola Cunningham made four saves.

BUCKFIELD 5, RICHMOND 1: Brittany Carrier tallied a hat trick in a win in Buckfield.

Chloe Bennett and Cora Brewster added goals for the Bucks (5-0-0).

Brooke Fournier scored the lone goal for the Bobcats (2-2-0).

WATERVILLE 7, ERSKINE ACADEMY 1: Hunter Willett had a hat trick as the Purple Panthers won in South China.

Gabriel Cedeno added two goals for Waterville (4-1), and Thomas Labbe and Keagan Tavares also scored. Dustin Bearce made five saves in goal.

Dominic Brann scored for Erskine Academy (2-3), and keeper Parker Studholme stopped 12 shots.

MONMOUTH ACADEMY 4, WINTHROP 1: Zane Foyt scored or assisted on all three of the Mustangs’ first-half goals as they seized control early in Monmouth.

Foyt set up Bingham Abbott for a goal, and then he scored twice off assists from Bryce Fletcher, propelling Monmouth (4-1) to a 3-1 halftime advantage.

Jake Harmon added an unassisted goal in the second half. Monmouth coach Joe Fletcher said Harmon’s and Tyler Johnson’s midfield play was key to the Mustangs controlling possession.

Isaac Breau netted Winthrop’s only goal late in the first half. Ramblers (1-2-1) goalie Cru Presti stopped 17 shots and, Fletcher said, “made several outstanding saves to keep Winthrop within striking distance.”

Monmouth’s Lewis Lamoreau had three saves.

RICHMOND 3, BUCKFIELD 0: Three Bobcats scored in their win in Buckfield.

Ben Fournier, Kenny Mechum and Zander Steele netted goals for Richmond (4-0), while Brady Alexander recorded an assist and goalie David Edward stopped three shots.

Buckfield (2-2-1) goalkeeper Cayden Durgin finished with 12 saves.

MORSE 3, GARDINER 0: Ellis Valade, Christian Hallowell and Ashton Jacobs scored as the Shipbuilders (5-0) beat the Tigers (4-1) in a matchup of unbeaten teams at Gardiner.

VOLLEYBALL

GARDINER 3, CONY 2: Addison Lebel had three aces, 14 kills, three digs and two assists for the Rams in a loss in Augusta.

Brooklyn Barbeau added nine aces and 21 assists for Cony (4-1).

Gardiner improves to 4-1.
