WINDSOR — The annual Share the Road with Carol memorial bike ride is set for 8:30 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 29, starting and ending at the Windsor Town Office, 523 Ridge Road.
The all-ages commemorative bike ride, running through Windsor and Whitefield, has 12- and 27-mile options.

The ride honors the memory of Carol Eckert, M.D., who was killed as a result of a bike accident on Oct. 10, 2016, in Windsor.
Biking was Eckert’s passion and everyone who feels the same can join in remembrance of a life well pedaled and to further the cause of bicycle safety in Maine, according to a news release from Christina Moylan with Share the Road with Carol.
The registration fee is $20 for adults, and $10 for any person younger than 15 accompanied by a parent or guardian. Helmets are required for all participants.
There is one rest stop with snacks along the 27-mile ride; refreshments also are available at the finish at the town office.
Register at BikeReg.com or at the event between 7:30 and 8:30 a.m.; advance registration is encouraged.
