AUGUSTA — Capital Area Technical Center has named its September professionals of the month.
Jeremy Johnston of Richmond is a senior from Richmond High School in his second year of the computer tech program.
Last year, Johnston won a silver medal at the Maine SkillsUSA Internetworking competition. He maintains a full course load at Richmond High School, including two dual enrollment courses through the University of Maine at Augusta.
After graduation, he plans to continue his studies in computer technology, with a focus on cybersecurity.

Ethan Tapley of Augusta is a senior from Cony High School in his second year enrolled in the culinary arts program.
Tapley has embraced the opportunity to learn a wide range of new skills in the Culinary Arts program. His experiences have deepened his desire to pursue a career in this field, with a particular love for restaurant service and management.
He was a member of the ProStart Management team at CATC, which won the state competition. This victory led him and his team to Baltimore, Maryland, to compete at the National ProStart competition. Additionally, Tapley won a silver medal at the State of Maine SkillsUSA Restaurant Service competition.
Tapley works part-time at Cushnoc Brewing Co. After graduation, he plans to continue his education in Culinary Arts, with the ultimate dream of owning his own restaurant.
