David Rollins was at my house the other day and we talked about his running for the House of Representatives. Having known Dave for many years I feel that he did a fine job as a city councilor and mayor of Augusta and I have a strong feeling that when elected he will continue doing good work for all the people of the state of Maine.
He told me that he wants to work with small businesses to strengthen our local economy and would support investments in public education. He will work to try to lower costs for families and seniors and will stand up for our veterans. He would like to develop financial literacy opportunities for K-12 students, promote democracy and deliver good results for your family.
We have decided that we will be voting for David Rollins in the upcoming elections. We hope you can do the same.

We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
For those stories that we do enable discussion, our system may hold up comments pending the approval of a moderator for several reasons, including possible violation of our guidelines. As the Maine Trust’s digital team reviews these comments, we ask for patience.
Comments are managed by our staff during regular business hours Monday through Friday and limited hours on Saturday and Sunday. Comments held for moderation outside of those hours may take longer to approve.
