Climate change is an existential threat. Hurricane Helene is just the most recent example of what it means when scientists say we can expect more frequent and severe weather as a result of the increasing concentration of CO2 in our atmosphere.
If and when we get a significant heavy rain event in central Maine, we can expect similar devastation to that seen in North Carolina. Please use the upcoming elections to vote for those candidates most likely to take climate change seriously.
