Since the overturning of Roe v. Wade by the Supreme Court, abortion has been at the forefront of our electoral politics like never before.
It is also taking center stage in our congressional race for northern Maine. We have one candidate, Rep. Golden, who has voted to restore the protections of Roe, and another, Austin Theriault, who praised the overturning of Roe and said he thinks that abortion should be restricted.
As a woman, it is clear to me we need to reelect Congressman Golden. Ladies, unless we want to elect someone who will vote for a national abortion ban when his GOP handlers tell him to, we need to fight for Congressman Golden like he fights for our rights.
