The Lincoln County Democratic Committee is set to hold its next meeting Thursday, Oct. 24, with many local county candidates attending and a focus on getting out the vote.
The meeting begins at 7 p.m. and will be in a hybrid format. Participants can join at the 2024 LCDC Campaign Headquarters, 27 River Road in Newcastle, or via Zoom.
Those joining in person are asked to bring items for the LCDC’s Food Pantry Partnership. In October the Jefferson Food Pantry is the recipient of LCDC donations. Suggested donations include canned meat, cereal bars, baby wipes and toilet paper.
All Lincoln County Democrats and unenrolled progressives are welcome to attend the meeting. Committee voting members will automatically receive the Zoom log on information and reminders by email.
Registration for the meeting is required for non-voting members who want to receive Zoom log on and/or phone-in details. Register before noon the day of the meeting to ensure access. LCDC will do its best to accommodate last-minute registrations.
Those interested in becoming a voting member must be a registered Democrat in Lincoln County and may make their interest known by indicating so at the meeting, on the meeting registration form at lincolncountydemocrats.comt, or by emailing [email protected].

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
