I am writing on behalf of my friend, David Rollins. Dave is running to serve in the Maine House of Representatives. He’s a proven leader, who served his hometown of Augusta as an elected official for 16 years of dedicated service. Dave will listen to the issues and give substantial thought to his decisions. As a very engaging person, he will bring a spirit of enthusiasm and cooperation amongst all members of the house.
I grew up with Dave from a very young age, we played countless hours of sports in the backyard and on the driveway. His leadership led us to the 1973 state basketball championship. He was a great leader then, a great leader of the city as a member of the City Council, and he will be a great leader in the Maine House. Vote for Rollins on Nov. 5.

We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
For those stories that we do enable discussion, our system may hold up comments pending the approval of a moderator for several reasons, including possible violation of our guidelines. As the Maine Trust’s digital team reviews these comments, we ask for patience.
Comments are managed by our staff during regular business hours Monday through Friday and limited hours on Saturday and Sunday. Comments held for moderation outside of those hours may take longer to approve.
