As a registered voter in Dresden which recently became part of House District 53, I was ashamed of our representative, Michael Lemelin, when he claimed that the awful shooting of 18 people in Lewiston last year was God’s retribution for Maine passing bills that he did not like.
A candidate claiming to know the will of God is dangerous and has no place in the Maine Legislature. Rep. Lemelin was censored by the entire House of Representatives, both Republican and Democrats, and we voters in Pittston, Randolph, Chelsea, and Dresden can also now show our anger at his outrageous statements by electing Judy Tunkle of Dresden to replace him.
She will hear your voice and knows how to work together with those who do not agree with her.
