Douglas Chester Annett

SKOWHEGAN – Douglas Chester Annett, 75, passed away peacefully on Oct. 15, 2024, at Redington Fairview General Hospital. Doug was born Nov. 20, 1948, in Bangor, son to Chester E. and Norma (Clifford) Annett.

He worked in the construction field, including Cianbro and Bowman Brothers. Though he excelled there, his passion was woodworking.

He was predeceased by both his parents; brother, Richard and his wife Gayle.

Doug is survived by his wife of 27 years, Linda (Irwin) Annett; daughters Cindy Annett with her companion Mike, Denise Corriveau with her husband Neil, and Christa Irwin; Ron Valli, who was like a son; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren; sister, Patricia Marin with her husband Jerry, brothers William Annett with his wife Lori and Dennis Annett with his wife Mary; in-laws Richard and Bertha Irwin; as well as special friends Dana and Paula Turcotte. He will be missed dearly by his velcro dog, Duke.

At Doug’s request there will be no services at this time. A Celebration of Life will be announced for the spring.
