It has been a privilege to have Raegan LaRochelle represent me in House District 59 these past few years. Raegan’s relentless dedication is obvious to anyone within our community — her long days (and nights!) at the State House, extensive research on bills, and continuous outreach to her constituents is notable.
However, I believe that what truly sets Raegan apart from her peers is her proactive approach to politics. Unlike many, she actively seeks out opportunities for positive change rather than waiting to respond to issues as they arise. This forward-thinking mindset is why I deeply appreciate her leadership and am more than happy to support her as she runs for the Senate District 15 seat this November.
I encourage my neighbors in Augusta, China, Mount Vernon, Vassalboro, Belgrade, and Sidney to be proactive and do the same.

We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
For those stories that we do enable discussion, our system may hold up comments pending the approval of a moderator for several reasons, including possible violation of our guidelines. As the Maine Trust’s digital team reviews these comments, we ask for patience.
Comments are managed by our staff during regular business hours Monday through Friday and limited hours on Saturday and Sunday. Comments held for moderation outside of those hours may take longer to approve.
