The course teaches participants how to responsibly trap fur-bearing animals and provides a foundation of knowledge upon which to build. Topics include proper trapping equipment and use, responsible trap setting, the importance of good wildlife management practices, and habits and traits of fur bearers. Students must pass a written exam.
All trapping education courses are homestudy, which requires attendance at all scheduled sessions, as well as study at home, in order to receive a certificate. Upon registration, one will be advised of study options, whether online or by printed study materials.
