Partners Mid-Maine Chamber of Commerce, Central Maine Growth Council and Main Street Skowhegan seek input visitors and area residents.
This survey will help inform the Tourism Master Plan, a grassroots, research and sentiment-based process that will yield a roadmap to enhance the Skowhegan/Waterville Regional Area’s competitive position relative to other desirable tourism destinations, balancing visitors’ needs and wants with quality-of-life protections for local stakeholders and residents.
All are invited to participate in creating the Skowhegan/Waterville destination development plan by sharing their thoughts via survey. Their input as a resident or visitor is crucial to shaping a comprehensive master plan that balances the needs and desires of visitors with the quality of life for local residents. This survey will provide valuable insights that will help enhance the Skowhegan/Waterville regional area’s appeal as a top tourism destination, according to a news release from Central Maine Revitalization Partnership. The survey will close Sunday, Nov. 3.
Responses are confidential and will not be used for any future purposes.
Due to funding from the Maine Office of Tourism, the partners are working with regional partners and firms CSL International and Garrand Moehlenkamp to develop a destination development plan and brand strategy for the area.

We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
For those stories that we do enable discussion, our system may hold up comments pending the approval of a moderator for several reasons, including possible violation of our guidelines. As the Maine Trust’s digital team reviews these comments, we ask for patience.
Comments are managed by our staff during regular business hours Monday through Friday and limited hours on Saturday and Sunday. Comments held for moderation outside of those hours may take longer to approve.
