In the upcoming election, residents of Maine House District 59 should vote for David Rollins. Not only is he a proven leader (previously serving as mayor and city councilor), Dave has the ability to bring people together, which is what Maine needs. Dave supports the blue-collar “working person.” He understands the plight of those struggling in this economy, understanding that these issues can be addressed by more affordable housing and good paying jobs, and because of this is endorsed by the Maine AFL-CIO.
Democracy is on the line again in November and electing local candidates like David Rollins will help ensure our Democratic institutions are protected at the state level. So before you cast your vote this November ask yourself: is the candidate you are voting for loyal to a political party or are they working in the best interest of the people of Maine and the country as whole? I know Dave will be working for all of us.

We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
For those stories that we do enable discussion, our system may hold up comments pending the approval of a moderator for several reasons, including possible violation of our guidelines. As the Maine Trust’s digital team reviews these comments, we ask for patience.
Comments are managed by our staff during regular business hours Monday through Friday and limited hours on Saturday and Sunday. Comments held for moderation outside of those hours may take longer to approve.
