Dan Shagoury isn’t just my state representative. For decades, he has been an awesome neighbor and friend. Last year, my health dictated a change, and Dan checked on me regularly and helped me move to an independent living apartment at Granite Hill Estates, where I remain his grateful constituent!

Dan’s many years as a legislative aide in the Maine House and Senate prepared him to hit the ground running as our legislator. On the Joint Standing Committee on Health and Human Services, he helped ensure his constituents access to quality, affordable health care.

Hallowell’s Reservoir recreation area is beloved by residents and visitors alike. Dan’s bill enabled the city to purchase land surrounded by “The Res” for less than appraised value, protecting this treasure for future generations without an undue financial burden on Hallowell taxpayers.
