Elm City Bridge Club
Ken Harvey and Diane Bishop finished first at the Elm City Bridge Club in Waterville during the Oct. 29 duplicate bridge session. Lee Lenfest and Lynne Kerschner placed second and Maureen Brochu and Jessie Gunther came in third.
Club members were saddened by the death of long-time player Dick Quinlan, a frequent name on the list of winners, and a good friend. He will be missed.
Games begin at 12:30 p.m. Tuesdays at the Waterville Elks Lodge, 76 Industrial St.; new players are welcome.

Capitol City Duplicate Bridge Club
The Capitol City Duplicate Bridge Club winners for Oct. 23 were Paul Mitnik and Paul Sherman. Fred Letourneau and Sharron Hinckley finished second and Jean Bird and Ken Harvey finished third.
The winners on Oct. 24 were Marilyn Ware and Martha Morrill. Pat Damon and Ken Harvey finished second and Paul Mitnik and Paul Sherman finished third.
The games are played at noon Wednesday and 6 p.m. Thursday at the East Winthrop Baptist Church, 55 Old Village Road, East Winthrop.
Participants should bring a partner. Those who need a partner can call Mitnik, the director, at 207-313-2648 at least two days in advance of the scheduled games.
