I’ve been pondering the question: “When did Winslow lose its ‘Win’?” Was it when a cabal tried to have the children of Winslow bear the full brunt of reval-rage by attacking a school budget that already had opportunities for public input? Was it when they morphed into parenting and educational experts? Was it when they called the people who stood up to them divisive? It turns out that the voters of Winslow supported this divisive position. The school budget passed with a 17% majority. They lost.
Don’t be taken in by a slick ads featuring Fort Halifax and questionable promises. This election cycle I am supporting Lee Trahan, Dale Macklin and writing in Kyla Mihalovits. Lee is an inspiration. Dale helped turn our Fort Hill cemetery into the historic jewel that it is today. Kyla is a hardworking, young, enthusiastic advocate for Winslow.
