As an avid reader of op-eds and letters in the KJ, I tend to skip support letters of various candidates not associated with my district, but I do read the headlines to determine which I read. There have been so many letters supporting Raegan LaRochelle that I have begun reading the letters in support of her election and as a result wish I lived in her district to add my vote.

The qualities that I see expressed and valued in letter after letter which won me over are: she listens to all; she is accessible to all; promotes civility in government’ will lead us to our better selves; finds the common ground; treats others with respect and so many more qualities which embody the commitment to the good of the whole which is so vital to remaining a free and just society.

I would not know Raegan LaRochelle if she stood next to me in the checkout line but I would walk a mile (or two) to put an X next to her name on the ballot.
