Natalie (Holmes) Grover
HALLOWELL – Natalie (Holmes) Grover, 82, passed away peacefully on Saturday Oct. 26, 2024, with her loving family by her side.
Natalie was born in Bowdoinham on March 6, 1942, the daughter of the late James S. and Maxine (Fossett) Holmes, she grew up in Boothbay.
She was the wife of Dale Grover for 58 years, who predeceased her on March 5, 2024.
Natalie was employed at various locations, including Boothbay Harbor Freezer, Harbor Restaurant, Health-Tex and Augusta Pipe and Supply. She retired to care for her two grandchildren, Tyler and Brittany, though she loved them all dearly. She loved crafting, building puzzles, decorating her home for the holidays and spending time with her grandchildren.
The family would like to thank Bethany Tyburski for her immediate assistance, Vanessa Holman, for checking in and tucking her in at night, Oak Grove Center staff and especially the nurses on 1 West at the Harold Alfond Center for Health, for their kindness and loving care of Natalie during her final weeks.
Natalie was predeceased by her husband, Dale Grover; stepson, Neil Grover; brothers Galen, Robert, Ronald and Clyde Holmes and sister, Barbara Holmes Heath.
She is survived by two daughters, Tammy Grover of Hallowell and son-in-law, Jeffrey Holman of Massachusetts, Kathy T. Gardiner and her husband Vaughan of Hallowell, and a son, Randy Grover of Gardiner; grandchildren, Michael Brann, Tyler Redlevske, Brittany Hanson, Kyle Grover, Kaitlyn Hooper and KayLeigh Morin; 16 great-grandchildren; brothers Merrill (Joe) Holmes and his wife Connie of Pennsylvania, James Holmes Jr. and his wife Diana of Boothbay, a sister, Marguerite Fink of Pennsylvania; stepchildren, Amber Page and husband Robert of Brunswick, Michelle Graybill and husband Doug of Florida, Nancy Long of Boothbay, and Ann Leeman and husband Gary of Hancock.
A funeral service celebrating Natalie’s life will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 6, at 11 a.m. at Hall Funeral Home, 975 Wiscasset Rd., Boothbay. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery, Boothbay.
