WATERVILLE — Melissa Davenport, a member of the business insurance team at Allen Insurance and Financial, was recently recognized for professional leadership and advanced knowledge by the Society of Certified Insurance Counselors.
Davenport was awarded a certificate of achievement recognizing five consecutive years of successfully maintaining the Certified Insurance Counselor designation, which requires an annual continuing education update, according to a news release.
Davenport is the senior account manager on the Allen Craft Beverage Insurance team, working with brewing industry and other business insurance clients in Maine and throughout New England. She also maintains the Accredited Advisor in Insurance designation. She has nearly 20 years of industry experience, 15 of which are with Allen.
