AUBURN – Teresa A. Nichols passed away on Sunday, Oct. 27, 2024, at the Andwell Hospice House in Auburn. Teresa was born in Detroit, Mich. on May 23, 1932, to parents Joseph V. and Marietta (De Giovannangeli) Conflitti.
Teresa was a graduate of Marygrove College in Detroit and taught school in Detroit, Massachusetts, Virginia and Maine. Teresa married Milton B. Nichols, Jr. in 1955, and together they raised four children. She and Milton lived in various parts of the country before moving to Maine in 1975.
Teresa was predeceased by her husband Milton; her son Jeffrey; and her siblings, Anastasia, Joseph, Rosemary, and Robert. She is survived by her daughter Jennifer Ferguson and her husband Tony, her son Guy Nichols and his wife Janet,, her son Matthew Nichols and his partner Dana; her beloved sister Loretta Baynton and her husband Bob. She also leaves behind her grandchildren, Abigail, Olivia, Jeffrey and Caroline; her sister-in-law Margaret Conflitti, her brother-in-law Stephen Nichols; along with many nieces, nephews and dear friends of all ages.
The family wishes to thank with special gratitude the wonderful staff and volunteers at Andwell Hospice House who so lovingly cared for her during her time with them.
At Teresa’s request there will be no services.
