Democracy has not paid off for many people. The prospect of chaos is somewhat enticing; “give it a go.” The economy for many is for “schmaltz,” nothing but chicken fat. The country seems to be tired of the tried and true, honesty is the best policy nonsense.
No, Americans want someone who is overtly deceitful, with cheating, stealing, and snubs his nose at the established law. A felon who doesn’t bow and kowtow, and gets respect for it. A tough guy just like American blockbuster action movies. They love it, he’s a winner to be emulated. The children will be taught in the “art of treachery.” A new American world order. Onward with adoration of chicanery, “Hail Caesar! Morituri te salutant.”
