The Maine Justice Foundation has presented Chet Randall with the 2024 Downing Award.
The award recognizes legal aid staff dedicated to access to justice for vulnerable and low-income Mainers; the foundation’s board of directors unanimously voted for Randall to receive the award.
Randall was one of the first attorneys to work at Pine Tree Legal Assistance, based in Augusta, where he has spent more than 21 of his 28 years in public interest law. He currently serves as deputy director. He was nominated by the organization’s executive director, Tom Fritzsche.
