Sean Alexander Lamontagne
OAKLAND – It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Sean Alexander Lamontagne on Nov. 6, 2024. Sean decided it was time to join his brother Ryan in heaven. He was educated in Oakland schools, graduating from Messalonskee High in 2017. Sean was involved in Cub Scouts in Oakland and held multiple jobs in food service over the years.
He was predeceased by his brother Ryan in 2020.
Sean is survived by his parents, Gabriel and Debra Lamontagne from Oakland; brothers, Joshua, Christopher, Benjamin, and Landon, all from Oakland; sister Micheala-line Lamontagne from Cornville; nephew Sonny Gabriel Dube, who he had a special bond with, from Oakland; godmother Sister Angela Fortier from Waterville; many cousins, aunts, and uncles; and we can’t forget his best friend, his little dog Nugget.
Family Message to Sean:
For most of your adult life you wandered aimlessly looking for your purpose in life. The demons in your head made you distance yourself from family and friends who truly cared for you. In the last year of your life you found your way back home but those demons you fought were eventually too strong and eventually you could withstand no more.
Son, you are in our hearts and prayers forever. You left such a hole in our hearts that may never be filled. But we know you have been reunited with Ryan and that gives us some comfort.
Today we will take you home where you will never have to wander again. Rest in peace our son and brother, until we meet again.
A simple graveside ceremony will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family.
Arrangements are under the direction of Somerset Valley Remembrance Center in Skowhegan.
Please see Sean’s memorial page at https://www.svremembrancecenter.com/obituaries/sean-lamontagne where condolences, photos, and special memories may be shared.
In lieu of flowers, a GoFundMe page has been set up for Sean by a caring neighbor to help with funeral expenses and burial. The family really would like a headstone for both
Sean and Ryan.
