AUGUSTA — The annual Tree Lighting and Holiday Celebration featuring Rudolph and The Island of Misfit Toys is set for Saturday, Nov. 30.
River of Trees, a fundraiser event for Augusta Downtown Alliance, will take place from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Augusta Teen Center, 244 Water St.
Christmas at the Fort, with homemade gingerbread, horse drawn wagon rides and more, will be open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Old Fort Western, 16 Cony St. A free shuttle will be available from Market Square to Fort Western and back from 1-4:05 p.m.
Santa’s Stroll through Augusta neighborhoods is set for 12:30-2 p.m.
All-day events on Water Street include Rudolph the Red nose Reindeer, a story walk, Holiday Friends scavenger hunt featuring Dance Unlimited, Maine Arts Academy, Central Church Musicians and more.
At Market Square and Water Street, festive street entertainment is set for 2:30-4:45 p.m., children can visit with Santa and friends between 2:45 and 4:45 p.m., the Holiday
Holiday Tree lighting ceremony is set for 5:05 p.m., and fireworks are planned at 5:15 p.m.
