JAY — The town of Jay seeks residents to serve on the Budget Committee. Two alternate positions are open.
This is an advisory committee to the Select Board and town residents. The committee typically meets a couple times in January and, if needed, in February.
The panel meets with the Select Board, town manager and department heads to go over proposed budget items. A final budget, which includes a recommendation from the Budget Committee, is developed to put before the voters at the spring town meeting.
