Robert Liveo Plante

AUGUSTA – Robert Liveo Plante “Bob”, passed away on Saturday, Dec. 14, 2024, surrounded by family at Glenridge Long Term Care Nursing Home following a long illness with Dementia. He was born July 26, 1956, to Alfred and Connie (Aube) Plante.

Bob grew up in Augusta and Chelsea and graduated from Cony High School in 1975.

He retired in 2016 from the State of Maine, Department of Transportation, Fleet Services after 31 years of service. He was a very well-known talented auto body man and painted many vehicles in his lifetime, receiving many trophies at car shows for special projects/paint jobs that he did.

Bob was a family man and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. In his spare time, he enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson, which he did often.

He was predeceased by his parents; his sister, Linda Gilbert and his first wife, Susan (Dubord) Plante.

He is survived by his former wife, Lorry (Roberts) Plante, whom he always remained close with; sons Robert D. Plante (Jess) and Nicholas S. Plante; grandchildren, Brady Plante and Olivia Plante; brothers, Michael Plante, Donald Plante and Gary Plante (Tammy), sister, Pat Plante; and many cousins, nieces and nephews.

Much appreciation to Glenridge Nursing Home for their care and compassion during this long journey.

A period of visitation will be held on Saturday, December 28th from 10-11 a.m., at Plummer Funeral Home, 16 Pleasant Street, Augusta, ME 04330, where a memorial service will begin at 11 a.m. A spring burial will take place at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Manchester.
