AUGUSTA — Maine Veterans’ Homes appointed Brad Klawitter to the role of chief executive officer earlier this month.

Klawitter brings a wealth of experience in healthcare leadership, having most recently served as market CEO for Kindred Hospitals of Indianapolis. His career also includes five years as chief of staff to the CEO at the Indianapolis Veterans Affairs Medical Center and five years as an administrator at the Cincinnati Veterans Affairs Medical Center, according to a news release from Maine Veterans’ Homes.

A veteran himself, Klawitter’s commitment to serving those who served is personal. As a combat veteran radar craftsman, he served in the Ohio National Guard for more than a decade, achieving the rank of master sergeant. His passion for supporting veterans and their families is directly aligned with MVH’s mission of “caring for those who served.”
