NORTH ANSON — Michael Steuber led the way as the Carrabec boys basketball team gained a 56-16 victory over Rangeley on Friday.

Logan Caldwell and Seth Price added eight points apiece for the Cobras (4-1).

Sam Morrill led the Lakers (1-4) with seven points.

VALLEY 57, TELSTAR 43: Fisher Tewksbury’s dominant scoring and rebounding performance led Valley to a 57-43 win over Telstar in a showdown of unbeaten Class D South boys basketball teams on Friday in Bethel.

Tewksbury scored 20 points and pulled down 19 rebounds for defending D South champion Valley (4-0). He also had five steals. Harry Louis added 17 points, and Hunter Mills contributed 10 points and seven rebounds.

The Rebels (4-1) trailed 12-5 after one quarter but got within a point, 26-25, at halftime. However, the Cavaliers added 10 points to their lead with a 17-7 third period.

Reiley Hedden sank five 3-pointers to score team-high 15 points for Telstar. Connor Deprey finished with 11 points and Brody Morgan scored eight.

RICHMOND 49, TEMPLE ACADEMY 39: David Edwards scoreth and taketh away in the Bobcats (2-2) victory over the Bereans (0-5) in Richmond.

Edward made three 3-pointers and scored a game-high 16 points for Richmond. He also had eight steals. Zaden Steel tallied 12 points and seven steals, while Ben Fournier scored eight points and dished out six assists and Zaden Steele had six points and 10 rebounds.

Liam Willey led Temple with 15 points. Ricardo Louis and Gabe Young added seven points each.

GIRLS BASKETBALL
VALLEY 78, TELSTAR 15: Bri Mills scored 16 points and added 10 rebounds as the Cavaliers won in Bethel.

Rylee Clark contributed 12 points for Valley (4-0), while Myranda Bean and Madeline Hill each scored 11 points.

Taejyah Lego led the Rebels (1-4) with seven points.
