Carol Ann (Bechard) Dumont

BOCA RATON, Fla. – Carol Ann (Bechard) Dumont, 77, of Boca Raton, Florida, died peacefully at home on Dec. 20, 2024, after a brief illness with her family by her side. Carol Ann was born in Augusta, on Jan. 25, 1946, the daughter of Mary Jane Lessard and Leo Bechard.

She attended St. Augustine School and Cony High School. Carol retired from Liberty Mutual Insurance Company, Portsmouth, N.H. While living in Florida, she enjoyed the company of her family and going to the casino.

She was predeceased by her parents, her husband Emile Dumont, her brother Donald, and her sister Pauline. She is survived by her brothers Richard “Blackie” Bechard and Marjorie of Augusta, Kenneth and Jeannie Bechard of Boca Raton, Fla., and Norman Bechard of Augusta, and several nieces and nephews.

Carol’s family wishes to thank her nieces Lisa, Pam, and Melissa for taking care of her allowing her to stay at home. The family wishes to thank her caregivers, hospice care and nurses.

Arrangements will be made by The Gardens of Boca Raton Cemetery and Funeral Home. At her request, there will be no public visiting hours. A service will be held at a later date for the immediate family.
