JOHNSON, CITY, N.Y. – Crystal Holli (Haller) Hodsdon Morabito, 67, died unexpectedly at her home in Johnson City, N.Y., on Nov. 23, 2024. Crystal was born in Portland, Maine on the 12th day of Christmas, 1957. She was the oldest child of Martha (Felix Haller) Foss-Clark and Alfred Haller. Crystal married her first husband, Bruce Hodsdon, in 1975, and her second husband in 1997, Tony Morabito, to whom she remained married until her death.

She had lifelong substance use disorder, which led to many experiences with the justice system. She found joy in gardening and houseplants, her animals, and riding motorcycles.
Crystal was predeceased by her mother, Martha, and her father, Alfred; and her brother-in-law, Jaime Piñero.
Crystal is survived by her husband, Anthony Morabito; sister, Caj (Haller) Piñero; her stepmother, Betty Haller; and her stepsisters Marijke and Bronwyn. We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
For those stories that we do enable discussion, our system may hold up comments pending the approval of a moderator for several reasons, including possible violation of our guidelines. As the Maine Trust’s digital team reviews these comments, we ask for patience.
Comments are managed by our staff during regular business hours Monday through Friday and limited hours on Saturday and Sunday. Comments held for moderation outside of those hours may take longer to approve.
