Raymond L. Roy Sr.
AUGUSTA – Raymond L. Roy Sr., 83, died Tuesday, Dec. 17, 2024, at the Woodlands Senior Living of Farmington. He was born in Augusta, on July 22, 1941, a son of the late George F. Roy and Corrine (Dwyer) Dallaire.
Mr. Roy was a graduate of Cony High School and had been employed by the State of Maine for many years.
He was predeceased by his son, Raymond L. Roy, Jr.; his stepfather, Gaudioce Dallaire; his brothers George H. Roy and J. Edward Roy, his sisters Mary Tarbox and Rose Curtis.
Mr. Roy is survived by three grandchildren, Stacie McKenzie, Tracie “Punky” Roy and Michael Bolduc; seven great-grandchildren; as well as several nieces, nephews; and cousins; and his best friend since childhood, George Demos and his wife, Darlene.
At his request, there will be no public visiting hours. Following cremation, a memorial service will be held on Friday, Dec. 27, at 10 a.m., at Plummer Funeral Home, 16 Pleasant St., Augusta. Burial will be private in the spring.
