WATERVILLE – It is with profound sadness that our family announces the passing of Donna Jean Boudreau. She left us on Jan, 2, 2025, at the young age of 61.
She was born on April 11, 1963, in Waterville, where she continued to live and work for most of her life.
She held many positions and was a hard worker. Some of her employment experiences included store manager, bank clerk, restaurant hostess, and receptionist, but her finest work was the lasting impact she made on those she loved.
Growing up with her siblings Pam, Diane and Elaine was an adventure filled with laughter, kindness, and an abundance of love. Donna was among the kindest and most generous souls ever to walk among us. Her desire to enjoy the people in her life allowed her the strength to fight her brutal battle with cancer until the very last breath.
Donna did not desire fancy cars, shiny jewelry, or expensive clothing. Family and friends were always what she cherished the most. Although she suffered daily in her final years with great sadness and the inability to live a full life, all of that faded when her beloved grandson, Logan, walked through her door. Holding her beautiful new granddaughter, Macie, also brought her great joy. Her son Jacob was her bright light and greatest hero. Donna was never too busy, tired, or ill to be there for a family member or friend.
She was predeceased by her loving parents Leo and Jacqueline Giguere.
She is survived by her son, Jacob, his wife Courtney and precious grandchildren Logan and Macie; sisters and their spouses Elaine and Jeff Breton, Diane and David Hall, Pamela and Sydney Mayhew. There are also many nephews, nieces and dear friends she leaves behind.
She left us far too early, but she will continue to live on in our hearts through the stories we tell, cherished photographs, and fond memories. The world is a better place because she was here. She has finally found the peace and comfort that she deserves.
Her life will be celebrated during a mass ceremony held at St. John’s Church in Winslow on Jan. 25 at 9 a.m.
If you wish to make donations in her honor, please contribute to the Saint Jude Hospital, as she did, in order to support children who are coping with childhood cancer.
