Jacquelin Rose Pollis
MADISON – Jacquelin Rose Pollis born March 13, 1947, of Madison, passed unexpectedly while visiting family and friends in Florida on Friday Nov. 29, 2024.
Jackie was born in Fort Jackson, S.C., and later moved to Madison where she eventually met her husband, Dana. They created many memories camping in Starks; Saint Johns, Fla.; Sebring, Fla.; and Embden Pond.
Jackie found joy in taking an active role in her grandchildren and great-grandchildren’s lives by taking them to baseball games and dance lessons, watching movies and having “snackies” (cheese and pepperoni), paint nights (Jackie would always paint her own picture the way she wanted it), and no matter what sort of crafts her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were working on, she always knew how to help. Whether you were her child, grandchild, cousin, niece, nephew, or friend, she made sure to take care of you before herself.
Jackie also enjoyed spending time with her 8th grade graduating class every year for their class reunion.
Jackie was recently elected as the president for the auxiliary of the American Legion Post 39 in Madison and volunteered on Sundays for Bingo. She was also the secretary/treasurer of the UBM (United Bikers of Maine). She will be deeply missed.
Jackie is survived and missed by her loving husband, Dana Lloyd Pollis Sr. of 59 years; her son, Dana (Heather) Pollis of Norridgewock, her daughter, Susan (Rick) Gordon of Anson, daughter, Bridget (Jeremy) Blansit of Jacksonville, Fla. and son, James Pollis of Madison.
Forever cherished and remembered by her five siblings, John (Linda) Haley, Pam (Philip) Wells, Everett Haley, Ruth (Mike) McFarland and Candy (Tony) Browne; her nine grandchildren, Sarena Pollis, Grace Pollis, James Gordon, Michael (Kiera) Pollis, Kassidee Pollis, Skyelar Pollis, Foster Blansit, Porter Blansit, Tavern Blansit; and her four great-grandchildren, Xavier Pollis, Lincoln Pollis, Jadia Gordon, Jayden Gordon; and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by both of her parents, Marjorie G. Goodridge and Charles Haley Sr.
Services and burial will be announced at a later date.
