AUBURN — The Auburn-Lewiston Municipal Airport will host a public meeting Wednesday to provide background information on the master plan update and to allow the public to participate in the planning process.
The meeting will be held 5:30-7:30 p.m. at the airport’s terminal building at 80 Airport Drive in Auburn.
It’s the first update to the master plan since it was published in 2007. Since then, the Federal Aviation Administration standards have changed as have the type of aircraft flown and the technology.
A presentation on the master plan update begins at 6 p.m., followed by an opportunity to ask questions and interact with the project team members. Local businesses, residents, airport customers and interested parties are encouraged to take part in the meeting and the process.
The master plan update will include the current and proposed layout, financial plans, schedules for planned work, the assessment of alternatives on technical, environmental, and economic grounds, and ultimately establishes a framework for the future of the airport.
For more information about the master plan update, go to the airport’s website or contact Airport Director Jonathan LaBonté, at 207-786-0631.
