Donna Cecile Babcock

CHELSEA – Donna Cecile Babcock, 57, passed away unexpectedly on Jan. 17, 2025, at Mount St. Joseph in Waterville. She was born on May 17, 1967, a daughter of Robert Sr. and Cecile (Michaud) Babcock.

Donna graduated from Gardiner Area High School in the class of 1986. She went on to work in fast food restaurants including Gardiner and Augusta McDonalds for 25 years and Dunkin Donuts. In addition, Donna also worked for Best Western for a short period of time. While at work, Donna enjoyed chatting and interacting with the customers.

An avid sports fan, Donna watched all sports including football, baseball, and basketball. Nicknamed “Big Red”, she had a great sense of humor and enjoyed reading the newspaper, playing games on her phone, and completing word searches.

She was predeceased by her father, Robert Babcock Sr. and her sister, Diane Babcock.

Donna is survived by her mother, Cecile Babcock; her siblings, Robert “Bobby” Babcock Jr., Dwight Babcock, Roger Babcock and his wife Wendy; and nieces, Graciella Babcock and Wendy Shaw and her partner, J-me Shaw.

A graveside service will be held in May at Rest Haven Cemetery in Windsor with a date and time to be announced.
