David Wright scored 27 points as Maine Central Institute earned a 55-50 win over Waterville in a boys basketball game Saturday in Waterville.
Caleb Kennedy added 15 points for the Huskies (7-10), who are in a tight battle with multiple teams for a Class B North tournament berth.
Garrett Gendreau led Waterville (2-15) with 21 points.
RICHMOND 68, NORTH HAVEN 31: Jake Gay scored 15 points as the Bobcats (10-7) won in Richmond.
Ben Fournier chipped in with 12 points.
Quinton Spence led the Hawks (0-15) with 10 points.
MESSALONSKEE 51, MT. BLUE 39: Ty Bernier led a balanced offense with 13 points as the Eagles (14-2) defeated the Cougars (11-6) in Farmington.
Parker Reynolds added 10 points.
Evan Drake scored 12 points and Tyler Abell had 11 for Mt. Blue.
GIRLS HOCKEY
WINSLOW 6, YORK 4: Katie Berard scored four times for Winslow/Gardiner/Cony/Messalonskee/Lawrence/Erskine/Maranacook (6-12) in a win over York/Traip/Marshwood/Noble (4-14) at the Thomas College Ice Vault in Hallowell.
Molly Hambrick and Elsie Spear also scored for the Winslow co-op.
York got two goals from Kiera Alessi, and one each from Isabella Donovan and Eliza Woods.
