BOOTHBAY — Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens is looking for interns.
Its internship program began in 2010 with two volunteer interns in Guest Services. It now has paid interns across nearly every department at the gardens.
Undergraduate and post-graduate interns explore career opportunities in the fields of horticulture, education, marketing and communications, guest services, plant research and philanthropy.
Interns typically work 40-hour weeks from the beginning of June through the end of August, gaining hands-on experience and working closely with staff. Each intern will also work on an independent project to dive deeply into a topic that interests them and share what they learn with staff through an end-of-summer presentation, according to a news release from the gardens.
