Nancy L. Lewis

HALLOWELL – Nancy L. Lewis, born on Jan. 20, 1949, in Kansas City, Mo., was a woman of extraordinary talent and remarkable love. A resident of Hallowell, Maine, Nancy had the rare ability to turn a house into a home. She passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, Feb. 1, 2025, leaving behind an unforgettable legacy of warmth, creativity, and devotion to her family.

Nancy’s life was filled with vibrant passion. Her love for sewing and making doll clothes never waned, turning her home into a lively workshop where she crafted beautiful pieces that brought joy to those around her. She had a special touch that could turn a piece of cloth into a work of art, and her creations reflected her inner beauty and the depth of her heart. Her love for crafts was not just a hobby but was deeply ingrained in her lifestyle. She loved every stitch, every color, every fabric, and every design, pouring her heart and soul into each project. This love was evident in the beautiful doll clothes she created each piece a testament to her creativity and dedication.

She was predeceased by her parents William and Betty Pike and grandson Alexander Lewis.

Nancy is survived by her beloved children Phillip Lewis, Jr. and wife Shelley of Farmingdale, and Trena Lamore and husband Phil of Henderson. Nev.; grandchildren Ricky Ponce and Melanie Lewis of Nevada, Hannah, Cera and Phillip Aaron Lewis of Farmingdale;’ and great grandchildren Alex and Vyctorya of Nevada and Phoenix of Louisiana; and friend and roommate Polly.

She had lived in various places including California and Gardiner before settling in Hallowell, but no matter where she resided, her presence made that place feel like home. Her ability to create warmth and love wherever she went will be missed, but the memories she has left behind will continue to inspire and uplift those who were fortunate to know her.
